About the Role

Veritas Education is currently working with a secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit a confident and motivated Unqualified Teacher for an immediate start.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced Cover Supervisors, sports coaches, youth workers, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience and take the next step in their education career.

The successful candidate will deliver pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and support students in achieving positive outcomes across a range of subjects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Ensure students remain on task and engaged with their learning
  • Build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons
  • Support the wider aims and ethos of the school
  • Adhere to safeguarding and school procedures at all times
  • The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working with young people is essential
  • Experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker, Sports Coach, Mentor, or similar is desirable
  • Confident leading classes independently
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Resilient, adaptable, and professional in approach
  • Passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential
  • Interested in pursuing a career in education or teaching
