Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire Start Date: October Half Term 2026 Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Employer: Veritas Education (on behalf of a partner secondary school)
About the Role
Veritas Education is partnering with a successful secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit a passionate and committed English Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting from October Half Term 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and ambitious English department where high standards, creativity, and student achievement are at the heart of the curriculum. The successful candidate will deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons, inspiring students to develop strong literacy skills and a lifelong appreciation of reading and writing.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Contribute to departmental development and enrichment activities
- Support students in achieving their academic potential
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching English within a secondary school setting
- Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and classroom practice
- Has strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Is passionate about improving outcomes for young people
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
- ECTs are encouraged to apply
