About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS2 Teacher to join our supportive primary school team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge pupils, ensuring high standards of learning and achievement across Key Stage 2.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum.
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEN and EAL pupils.
- Assess, record, and report on pupil progress, using data to inform planning.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupil development.
- Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Degree in Education or relevant subject.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
Desirable:
- Experience teaching across KS2.
- Additional training in SEN, EAL, or safeguarding.
- First Aid certification.
Preferred Experience
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
- Proven ability to differentiate lessons for mixed-ability classes.
- Experience with formative and summative assessment.
- Familiarity with SATs preparation (for Year 6 roles).
- Effective classroom management and positive behaviour strategies.
