Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and ambitious KS2 Class Teacher to join our vibrant and inclusive primary school. This role includes a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR), offering the opportunity to lead a key area of school development while maintaining a full-time teaching commitment.
The successful candidate will be a passionate educator with a proven track record of excellent classroom practice and the ability to inspire both pupils and colleagues. You will play a pivotal role in shaping curriculum delivery, improving outcomes, and contributing to whole-school improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Classroom Teaching- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum for KS2.
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes high standards of behaviour and achievement.
- Use assessment data effectively to inform planning and support pupil progress.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
TLR Leadership- Lead a curriculum area, phase, opportunity for it to be a strategic initiative.
- Support colleagues through coaching, mentoring, and sharing best practice.
- Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning within your area of responsibility.
- Contribute to school improvement planning and staff CPD.
Person Specification
Essential Qualifications & Experience- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience teaching in KS2
- Evidence of impact on pupil progress and attainment
- Strong understanding of curriculum planning and assessment
Desirable Skills- Experience leading a subject or initiative
- Ability to inspire and support colleagues
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding
