Job Description - Primary Teacher (Year 3/4)
Location: Farnworth Start Date: Immediate - July Contract: Full-time
We are seeking a passionate and committed Primary School Teacher to take responsibility for a Year 3/4 class in a welcoming and diverse school in Farnworth. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and motivated to succeed.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and creative lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum
- Build positive relationships with pupils to foster trust, respect, and enthusiasm for learning
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of a diverse classroom, including pupils with SEN and EAL
- Promote active participation and maintain high levels of pupil engagement
- Assess and monitor progress, providing constructive feedback to support development
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
- Uphold the school's commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
Requirements- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching KS2, ideally Year 3 or Year 4
- Strong classroom management and ability to create a positive learning atmosphere
- Understanding of inclusive practices and strategies for supporting SEN and EAL learners
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferable Experience- Previous experience in a diverse, multicultural school setting
- Training or experience in SEN support and differentiated instruction
- Ability to use creative approaches to engage pupils and raise attainment
