Religious Education (RE) Teacher - Full-Time, Long-Term Role
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire Start Date: September 2026 Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Employer: Veritas Education (on behalf of a partner secondary school)
About the Role
Veritas Education is working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit a passionate and dedicated Religious Education (RE) Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a welcoming Humanities department and inspire students through the study of religion, ethics, philosophy, and cultural diversity. The successful candidate will play a key role in encouraging respectful discussion and helping students develop a deeper understanding of different beliefs and worldviews.
Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging RE lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Encourage critical thinking and respectful discussion of religious, ethical, and philosophical topics
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives
- Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching Religious Education within a secondary school setting
- Possesses strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Is committed to raising attainment and supporting student development
- Has a strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
- ECTs are encouraged to apply
