Veritas Education are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit a passionate and creative Drama Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students through the performing arts and join a supportive school environment with opportunities available for an immediate start or from September.
Applications are welcomed from both experienced Drama teachers and ECTs.
The Role
As a Drama Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering creativity, confidence, and self-expression in students. You will play an important role in promoting participation in performing arts and supporting extracurricular activities where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Drama lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with curriculum expectations
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment
- Support students in developing performance, communication, and teamwork skills
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- Contribute to school productions and enrichment activities where appropriate
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Drama within a UK secondary school setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A passion for performing arts and student development
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
