Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and organised Science Technician to join a secondary school in the Bradford area. This is a full-time role starting immediately or from September 2026.
You will support the Science department by preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring practical lessons run efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up equipment for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons
- Clear and store materials safely after practical sessions
- Maintain laboratory equipment and prep rooms
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitor stock levels and order supplies where required
- Support teaching staff with practical demonstrations when needed
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Science Technician or in a lab environment (desirable)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Interest or background in science
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of health and safety procedures (training provided if needed)
