About the Role
Veritas Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a number of secondary schools in the Bradford area.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced support staff, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable experience within secondary education. Flexible full-time and part-time opportunities are available to suit your availability.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged with the work provided and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-set work across a range of subjects and year groups
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Ensure students remain focused and engaged throughout lessons
- Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons
- Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Support students in completing assigned tasks
- Follow school safeguarding and behaviour procedures at all times
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with young people is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident managing groups of students in a classroom setting
- Organised, adaptable, and professional in approach
- A genuine interest in education and supporting young people
- Graduates and aspiring teachers are encouraged to apply
