Veritas Education are currently working with a welcoming and forward‑thinking secondary school in the Dewsbury area who are seeking a committed Religious Education Teacher to join their Humanities department. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher or a strong ECT looking to develop their practice in a supportive environment.
About the Role
- Teaching RE across KS3-KS4
- Planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
- Contributing to a positive learning environment where all students feel valued
- Assessing, tracking, and reporting student progress in line with school and DfE expectations
- Working collaboratively with the wider Humanities team
The School Is Looking For
- A passionate and knowledgeable RE specialist
- Someone with strong behaviour management and excellent communication skills
- A teacher who can inspire curiosity and respect for different beliefs and cultures
- A professional who upholds high standards in line with the DfE Teachers' Standards
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching RE in UK secondary schools
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- Strong references covering the last two years
