Veritas Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in the Kirklees area who are seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join their Design & Technology department. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator with a passion for delivering high‑quality lessons that inspire creativity, independence, and practical skill development.
About the Role
As the Food Technology Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across KS3-KS4 in line with the national curriculum.
- Create a safe and well‑organised classroom environment that encourages practical learning.
- Assess pupils' progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement and development.
- Work collaboratively with department colleagues to contribute to a positive, supportive faculty culture.
- Uphold school policies and standards, maintaining excellent behaviour management.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Holds QTS or QTLS (applications from ECTs and experienced teachers welcome).
- Has strong subject knowledge within Food Technology and wider D&T curriculum.
- Demonstrates high professional standards consistent with DfE expectations.
- Communicates with clarity, warmth, and professionalism.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and the wider school community.
