Location: Blackburn Start: After the Easter break Contract: Until the end of the academic year Agency: Veritas Education
Veritas Education are looking to appoint a full‑time English Teacher for a secondary school in Blackburn, starting immediately after the Easter break and continuing until the end of the academic term. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate, reliable, and committed teacher who can confidently deliver English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
About the Role
The school are seeking someone who can:
- Teach English Language and English Literature to KS3 & KS4
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support learning and progress
- Manage behaviour in line with school policies
- Support students preparing for GCSE examinations
- Work effectively with the English department and wider school staff
You will be joining a supportive school environment with well‑structured schemes of work and strong leadership.
Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE specialising in English
- Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
- Strong classroom management skills
- A positive, enthusiastic and professional approach
- A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Veritas)
