About the School
We are working with a warm, inclusive, and well‑resourced SEN through school in Lewisham that supports students with a range of additional needs from primary years through to Post‑16 pathways. The school prides itself on its nurturing ethos, excellent staff teamwork, and commitment to helping every learner achieve meaningful progress-academically, socially, and emotionally.
The Role
The school is seeking a qualified (QTS) or highly experienced SEN Teacher to join their Secondary and Post‑16 team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about personalised learning, creative teaching approaches, and preparing young people with SEN for adulthood.
You will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for small groups
- Support learners with diverse needs including ASD, MLD, SEMH, and complex needs
- Work closely with therapists, support staff, and parents/carers
- Create a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment
- Contribute to EHCP targets and individual learning plans
- Be part of a collaborative, caring staff team
What We're Looking For
- QTS is preferred but highly experienced unqualified SEN teachers will be considered
- Strong experience teaching Secondary or Post‑16 learners
- A calm, resilient, and student‑centred approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for helping young people with SEN thrive
- Ability to commit long‑term, with routes to permanent employment
