 Learning Support Assistants - Primary School (WF7 Area, Wakefield) Location: WF7, Wakefield Contract: Full-time / Part-time (Term Time Only) Start Date: Immediate and Ongoing Opportunities Available Pay: £85 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a welcoming primary school? Our education agency is currently recruiting dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in the WF7 area of Wakefield.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers to support pupils across the classroom, providing individual or small-group support and helping to create a positive, engaging learning environment. You'll assist in promoting good behaviour, ensuring pupils stay on task, and supporting their emotional and academic development.
Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning in line with the national curriculum
 - Work 1:1 or with small groups of pupils to aid progress and engagement
 - Assist with classroom management and encourage positive behaviour
 - Support children with additional learning needs as required
 - Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
 Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant (essential)
 - Strong understanding of classroom behaviour management strategies
 - A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
 - Excellent communication and teamwork skills
 - DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one through us)
