Type: Contract / Permanent Hours: Full-Time (Term Time Only) Start Date: Immediate & January starts available
Veritas Education is working in partnership with a number of primary schools across Leeds and West Yorkshire, seeking dedicated Communication Support staff to join their teams. Roles are available across all age groups-from Early Years to Key Stage 2.
The Role
As a Communication Support professional, you'll play a vital role in helping children and young adults with a range of communication needs access learning and express themselves. You'll work closely with teaching staff and therapists to deliver tailored support and interventions.
What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting children or young adults with communication difficulties.
- Knowledge of communication aids such as PECS, Makaton, or British Sign Language (BSL).
- Confidence in working with learners who are non-verbal, pre-verbal, or developing their communication skills.
- Ability to deliver 1:1 support and targeted interventions.
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach.
