  • Level 3 Nursery Practitioner - Full time (5 Days)
  • Level 3 Nursery Practitioner - Part time (4 Days)
  • 50 WEEK NURSERY (Flexability to take annual leave in or outside of school holidays)
  • Start / Duration:

  • Begin September/ As soon as possible (Permanent)
  • Timetable / Hours:

  • 8.00am - 6.00pm
  • 50 Week nursery
  • Annual leave - 28 days annual leave

  • Qualifications required:

  • Completion of a recognized Childcare qualification Level 3 or above, e.g. Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce, NVQ Level 3 or above in Children's Care, Learning and Development - or be working towards completions

    The nursery has a friendly staff team of 10 people from ages 26 to 55 and of different nationalities who are responsible for 35 children (Aged 1 to 5 years) between them. They follow the Early Years framework.

    The right person would have a Level 3 qualification as a minimum and have experience with children from one to five years of age.

    The Nursery believe that it is crucial to keep staff nourished, happy and inspired so that they can provide the best experiences for the children, parents and community. Considering this, the staff enjoy a range of perks.Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare a program of activities suitable to the age range of children in the allocated team.
  • Work with parents/carers of all children to achieve full integration in the setting.
  • Foresee the needs of all children and give physical, emotional, intellectual guidance as appropriate.
  • Responsible for a number of key children, to include performing regular observations and writing reports on their learning and development progress.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of Nursery Practitioners.
  • Maintain good communication skills within the team and ensure practice is reviewed on a regular basis.
  • To actively promote and support the safeguarding of children, observing and following setting policies and procedures to keep children safe from harm
  • To ensure a high standard of care and education for the children
  • To give support to other personnel within the team.To implement the Early Years Foundation Stage requirements and ensure all the children's individual needs are met and all areas of development are encouraged through play.
