Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We're looking for passionate, patient, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistants to join a vibrant and inclusive SEN School in Croydon. London.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support students with a range of needs and help them thrive both academically and emotionally.
About the Role:
You'll be working closely with students who may have:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- ADHD
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
- Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Physical Disabilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students.
- Assist with classroom activities and learning plans.
- Support students with personal care and mobility (where required).
- Help implement EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff.
- Monitor and record student progress and wellbeing.
Requirements:
- Experience working in SEN settings or with children with additional needs is highly desirable.
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
- Strong communication skills and a caring, adaptable approach.
- Ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.
