Veritas Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across a range of secondary schools throughout East Lancashire, including Burnley, Blackburn, Accrington, Nelson, Colne and surrounding areas.
We have a variety of day-to-day, short-term and longer-term assignments available, making this an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, graduates, youth workers, support workers, or individuals looking to gain valuable school-based experience.
The Role:
- Supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Working alongside teachers to deliver high-quality learning experiences
- Providing one-to-one and small group support where required
- Encouraging student engagement and achievement
- Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, reliable and flexible approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Previous school experience is beneficial but not essential
