Veritas Education is working with a highly regarded community special school in Middlesbrough that supports primary-aged pupils with Autism and additional learning needs. The school is known for its nurturing approach, specialist facilities and strong focus on helping every child develop confidence, communication and independence.

We are looking for caring, patient and enthusiastic Autism Support Assistants to join the team on a flexible basis. Part-time shifts are available, with some long-term and full-time opportunities offered for the right candidates.

The Role

  • Supporting pupils with Autism both in class and through structured interventions
  • Encouraging communication, social development and independence
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists and support staff
  • Helping to create a calm, positive and engaging learning environment
  • Supporting pupils with EHCP targets and sensory needs
  • We're Interested In Hearing From:

  • Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants
  • Support Workers and Care Staff
  • Psychology, Education or Health & Social Care graduates
  • Sports coaches, youth workers and mentoring professionals
  • Anyone with experience supporting children or adults with additional needs
