Science Teacher - Full-Time, Long-Term Role

About the Role

Veritas Education is delighted to be working with a highly regarded secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit a passionate and motivated Science Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and supportive Science department committed to delivering outstanding teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school is looking for an enthusiastic practitioner who can inspire curiosity, encourage scientific thinking, and help students achieve their full potential.

Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach engaging and effective Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Deliver Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as part of the wider Science curriculum
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with curriculum requirements
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing meaningful feedback
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
  • Contribute to departmental planning, enrichment activities, and school events
  • Promote a positive attitude towards Science and STEM subjects
  • The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting
  • Possesses strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Has a genuine passion for Science and education
  • Is committed to raising attainment and supporting student success
  • ECTs are encouraged to apply
