Veritas Education is currently seeking confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic Daily Cover Supervisors to work on a flexible supply basis in secondary schools across Dewsbury.
This is an ideal opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced Cover Supervisors, youth workers, sports coaches, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience while enjoying the flexibility of daily supply work.
The Role
As a Daily Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students remain focused on set work.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
- Support students with their learning and engagement.
- Follow school policies and procedures.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff at the end of lessons.
- Work across a variety of subjects and year groups.
No lesson planning or marking is required, allowing you to focus on supporting learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with secondary-aged students in education, coaching, youth work, mentoring, or a similar setting.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is confident managing groups of students independently.
- Can quickly build positive relationships with staff and pupils.
- Is flexible, reliable, and professional.
- Has a genuine passion for supporting young people's education.

Essential Requirements
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Two professional references covering the last two years.
