Music Teacher - Full-Time, Long-Term Role
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire Start Date: September 2026 Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Employer: Veritas Education (on behalf of a partner secondary school)
About the Role
Veritas Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit a passionate and creative Music Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive Performing Arts department and inspire students through music education. The successful candidate will help develop students' musical knowledge, performance skills, and confidence while fostering a lifelong appreciation for music.
Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and inspiring Music lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Plan and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach a broad range of musical styles, genres, and techniques
- Support students in developing performance, composition, and listening skills
- Prepare students for assessments and examinations where appropriate
- Organise and support extracurricular music activities, performances, and events
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- Contribute positively to the wider school community
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching Music within a secondary school setting
- Demonstrates strong musical knowledge and performance skills
- Can inspire and engage students of varying abilities
- Has excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Is committed to raising achievement and participation in Music
- ECTs are encouraged to apply
