Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire Start Date: September 2026 Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Employer: Veritas Education (on behalf of a partner secondary school)
About the Role
Veritas Education is working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher for a full-time, long-term position commencing in September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and well-resourced Science department where students are encouraged to develop curiosity, critical thinking skills, and a passion for scientific discovery. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as part of the wider Science curriculum
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Monitor and track student attainment and progress
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Contribute to departmental planning and extracurricular activities where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
- Experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Is committed to raising standards and improving student outcomes
- Has a strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
- ECTs are encouraged to apply
