About the Role

Veritas Education is working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting young people and helping students overcome barriers to learning. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide targeted assistance to students, enabling them to achieve their academic and personal potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom-based support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions where required
  • Support students with varying learning needs and abilities
  • Assist teachers in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment
  • Help students develop confidence, independence, and resilience
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
  • Promote positive behaviour and support student wellbeing
  • Follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
  • The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable
  • Experience within an education or support setting is advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Committed to supporting student achievement and wellbeing
