Location: Middlesbrough Pay: £168 - £261 per day Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term Supply Start Date: September 2026
Veritas Education are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Maths Teacher for a long-term opportunity within a well-established mixed 11-16 secondary school in Middlesbrough.
This is a full-time role starting in September, with the school looking to secure a high-quality Maths specialist who can confidently deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will join a supportive department committed to raising attainment and fostering a positive learning environment.

The Role
- Deliver Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
- Plan, prepare and assess work in line with curriculum requirements
- Inspire students to develop confidence and enjoyment in Mathematics
- Monitor progress and provide effective feedback
- Contribute positively to the wider school community
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Has recent experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Committed to achieving positive outcomes for young people
- Available to start in September on a full-time basis
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (preferred)
- Right to work in the UK
- Relevant references covering recent employment
