Veritas Education are working in partnership with a number of well-regarded secondary schools across Wakefield who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join their teams. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced practitioners and ECTs who are passionate about delivering engaging language lessons and inspiring pupils to develop their linguistic skills.
The Role:
You will be responsible for teaching MFL (French, Spanish or German) across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in raising attainment and fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging MFL lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
- Monitor and assess student progress effectively
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and department
- Uphold high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- Support pupils in developing confidence in speaking, reading and writing in a foreign language
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A degree in a relevant subject (or related discipline)
- Experience teaching MFL at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
- Strong classroom management skills
- A commitment to raising standards and improving outcomes
- A passion for languages and the ability to motivate learners
