Chemistry Teacher - Full-Time, Long-Term Role Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire Start Date: September 2026 Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Employer: Veritas Education (on behalf of a partner secondary school)
About the Role
Veritas Education is working in partnership with a supportive and well-resourced secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful science department and deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons that engage and challenge students, in line with Department for Education standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Foster curiosity and a strong understanding of scientific concepts
- Differentiate lessons to meet a range of learning needs
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Contribute to the wider science department and school community
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has a specialism in Chemistry or a related science discipline
- Experience teaching in a secondary school setting (ECTs welcome)
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
- Is committed to safeguarding and improving outcomes for all students
