Veritas Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and passionate Intervention Teacher on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Clitheroe, Lancashire.
This is a full-time permanent position starting in September 2026. The school is a well-regarded, inclusive primary setting with a strong community ethos and a clear commitment to ensuring all pupils achieve their full potential through targeted support and high-quality teaching.
The school has a strong focus on closing gaps in learning through effective intervention strategies, with a developing and well-supported provision for pupils who require additional academic support. Staff work collaboratively to ensure every child is supported to make good progress across the curriculum.
The school was recently graded Good by Ofsted, with inspectors highlighting strong leadership, positive pupil behaviour, and effective support for pupils' personal development and achievement. The inclusive ethos and commitment to meeting individual needs were also noted as key strengths.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
- Deliver targeted intervention sessions in core subjects (English and Maths)
- Identify and address gaps in learning
- Adapt teaching to meet individual pupil needs
- Work closely with class teachers, SENCO and support staff
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management and nurturing practice
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
