Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant
Inclusive Primary School | Middlesbrough Start: ASAP | Long‑term temporary
Pay: £105-£120 p/day
We are working in partnership with a warm, nurturing and highly inclusive primary school in Middlesbrough who are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a long‑term supply basis, starting immediately.
This role would suit a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about inclusion and has experience supporting children with additional needs, including Autism, communication needs and social‑emotional development.
The Role
- Providing in‑class and targeted 1:1 and small‑group SEN support
- Supporting pupils with EHCPs to access learning and remain engaged
- Assisting pupils with emotional regulation, communication and social interaction
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
- Creating a calm, positive and supportive environment where all pupils can thrive
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN in a primary school setting
- A caring, patient and empathetic approach
- Confident managing behaviour and supporting individual learning needs
- Flexible, reliable and committed to long‑term support
