SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School (WF1)
Full-Time | Long-Term Position
Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding long‑term role in the WF1 area? We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and skilled practitioner to support children with additional needs in a welcoming primary school setting.
About the Role
- Full‑time, long‑term position within a supportive primary school in the WF1 area
- Working closely with pupils who have a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language needs, and learning delays
- Providing 1:1 and small‑group support to help children access learning and thrive in the classroom
- Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to deliver tailored support plans
- Creating a positive, nurturing environment where every child feels valued and understood
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting (essential)
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships
- Confidence in adapting learning activities to meet individual needs
- A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers and achieve their potential
