Are you a creative, inspiring, and patient Art Teacher with QTS? We are seeking a passionate and innovative Art Teacher (with Qualified Teacher Status) to join a specialist SEN school in Tonbridge. The Role
As the school's Art Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated Art lessons to secondary‑aged students with SEN
- Plan creative projects that build students' confidence and artistic skills
- Adapt teaching methods to meet a wide range of learning needs and communication styles
- Work closely with the SENCO, therapists, and support staff to ensure personalised progress
- Foster a classroom environment that is safe, calm, and encourages self‑expression
- Support wider school activities, enrichment programmes, and cross‑curricular art projects
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential
- Experience teaching Art at KS3/KS4 (SEN experience highly desirable)
- A creative, flexible, and trauma‑informed teaching approach
- Strong behaviour-management skills rooted in empathy and positive relationships
- A passion for supporting young people with diverse needs
- Ability to adapt curriculum content to meet individual learner profiles
