Year 2 Class Teacher - Maternity Cover (After Easter Start)
- Location: Hertfordshire
- Pay Scale: M1-M6 (Depending on experience)
- Contract: April 2026 - December 2026 (Potential extension until at least January 2027)
Are you a passionate and dedicated KS1 practitioner looking for a rewarding teaching opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 2 Class Teacher to join a warm, nurturing and community‑focused infant setting for a maternity cover starting after the Easter break.

The Role
As the Year 2 Class Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and well‑structured lessons that support children's academic and personal development
- Provide high‑quality teaching in line with the KS1 curriculum, with a strong emphasis on phonics, early writing, and number fluency
- Work closely with a supportive team of teachers and support staff
- Contribute to the positive, child‑centred ethos of the school
- Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
This role offers the exciting possibility of extension until at least January 2027, depending on staffing needs.
