The school has a strong community ethos and a nurturing, child-centred approach, with a clear focus on early development, wellbeing, and strong foundations for learning. Staff work closely together in a calm, supportive environment where early years provision is highly valued. The leadership team is approachable and places importance on consistency, high-quality practice, and positive relationships with both pupils and families.
This role is based within the Early Years setting, supporting children during a crucial stage of their development. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and EYFS team to support learning through play, structured activities, and daily routines.
Essential requirements (applications will only be considered if these are met):

- A minimum of 1 year's experience working in an Early Years setting
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- Experience supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing
- A warm, patient, and proactive approach to working with young children
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting children's learning through play-based and adult-led activities
- Assisting with observations, assessments, and supporting individual next steps
- Promoting positive behaviour, independence, and social development
- Supporting daily routines, including transitions and personal care where required
- Working collaboratively with teachers and the wider EYFS team
The school offers:
- A supportive and friendly working environment
- A well-established EYFS team with clear expectations and routines
- A one-form entry setting where children are well known and well supported
- Term-time only working hours: 8:00am - 3:30pm
This role would suit an experienced Early Years professional who is passionate about early childhood development and is looking to work in a nurturing, community-focused primary school.
