A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hackney is seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.
This role is ideal for a compassionate professional with strong experience supporting pupils with EHCPs and a range of additional needs, including autism (ASD), ADHD, and other learning and behavioural needs. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, parents, and external professionals to ensure pupils receive consistent, high-quality support.
The successful candidate will:
Have proven experience supporting children with EHCPs
Have hands-on experience working with pupils with ASD, ADHD, and additional SEN
Provide 1:1 and small group support in and out of the classroom
Implement and review strategies outlined in EHCPs
Liaise effectively with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external agencies
Demonstrate patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach
Promote positive behaviour and inclusion across the school day
