A supportive and inclusive two-form entry primary school in Islington is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated SEN team.
This role is ideal for a skilled and compassionate professional with strong experience supporting pupils with EHCPs and a range of additional needs, including autism (ASD), ADHD, and associated learning and behavioural needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally, working closely with teaching staff, the SENCO, parents, and external professionals.
The successful candidate will:
Have proven experience supporting pupils with EHCPs
Have hands-on experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, and other SEN
Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Implement strategies and targets outlined in EHCPs
Liaise effectively with class teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external agencies
Demonstrate patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach
Promote positive behaviour and inclusion within the classroom
