Veritas Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive 2 form entry primary school in Hackney to recruit a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs across all key stages, from Early Years through to Key Stage 2.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties
- Working 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils access the curriculum
- Supporting the class teacher with behaviour management and differentiated learning activities
- Promoting a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN (essential)
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to adapt support strategies to meet individual pupil needs
- Relevant SEN qualifications or training (desirable, but not essential)
