SEN Nurture TeacherLocation: DorkingSetting: SEMH Boys' ProvisionStart Date: January
Veritas are working in partnership with a specialist SEMH boys' school in the Redhill area, and we are seeking a dedicated Nurture Teacher to join their team immediately. The provision supports boys aged 9-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Due to the specialist nature of the school, class sizes are small, with no more than six pupils per group, allowing for highly personalised and targeted support.
As a Nurture Teacher, you will assess pupils' learning, social, and emotional needs, removing barriers to learning through a calm, structured, and highly supportive approach. Language development, communication, and modelling positive behaviour are central to the role. As pupils grow academically and socially, they build confidence, develop self-respect, and take pride in their achievements.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience working within SEN, particularly SEMH and behaviour support
- QTS preferred, though strong unqualified teachers with experience will be considered
- Knowledge of KS2-KS4 curriculum
- Confident in planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Professional, resilient, and reflective practice
- Positive, enthusiastic, and nurturing approach
If you are passionate about making a meaningful difference and would like to be considered for this role, please call Ryan at Veritas on 0203 026 6150!
