English & Maths Teacher - SEMH School (KS3/KS4) Location: Wandsworth Start Date: January Daily Rate: £180-£250 (dependent on experience)
We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient English & Maths Teacher to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Wandsworth from January.
This role involves teaching KS3 and KS4 pupils, delivering engaging English and Maths lessons that support both academic progress and emotional development. The successful candidate will be passionate about making a positive impact on young people who require additional support to thrive in education.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality English and Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning and behavioural needs
Create a supportive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Work collaboratively with support staff, SEN teams, and leadership
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
Experience teaching English and/or Maths at KS3/KS4
Experience working in an SEMH setting is desirable
Strong behaviour management skills
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
