Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join our supportive and forward-thinking primary school team. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to begin their teaching journey in a nurturing environment that values professional development and pupil wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high standards of learning and behaviour.
- Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to support development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents/carers to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
- Participate in school events, trips, and extra-curricular activities.
- Engage fully in the ECT induction programme and ongoing CPD opportunities.
Person Specification
Essential Qualifications- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree-level education
Preferable Experience- Successful completion of teaching placements across Key Stages
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN and implementing inclusive practices
- Familiarity with phonics schemes
- Understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies
Personal Qualities- Enthusiastic, reflective, and eager to learn
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Committed to pupil wellbeing and achievement
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
