Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join our supportive and forward-thinking primary school team. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to begin their teaching journey in a nurturing environment that values professional development and pupil wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high standards of learning and behaviour.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to support development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents/carers to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Participate in school events, trips, and extra-curricular activities.
  • Engage fully in the ECT induction programme and ongoing CPD opportunities.

    Essential Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree-level education
  • Preferable Experience
  • Successful completion of teaching placements across Key Stages
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN and implementing inclusive practices
  • Familiarity with phonics schemes
  • Understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies
  • Personal Qualities
  • Enthusiastic, reflective, and eager to learn
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Committed to pupil wellbeing and achievement
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team

    Experience
