Veritas Education are working with a welcoming and inclusive two-form entry primary school in Hackney who are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in children's lives and supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
About the Role
- Support pupils with a variety of additional needs, including speech and language, mild learning difficulties, and social/emotional challenges.
- Work flexibly across year groups, providing 1:1 and small group support as directed by the SENCo and class teachers.
- Help children to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve personal and academic goals.
- Contribute to the creation of a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
- Liaise with teachers, parents and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Has experience supporting children with SEN within a school or educational setting.
- Is patient, compassionate and adaptable in their approach.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Is committed to the safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils.
- Holds a relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, TA or SEN qualification) - desirable but not essential.
- Is enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to learn from experienced practitioners.
