Veritas Education is working in partnership with a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Huddersfield to recruit a passionate and creative Drama Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students through the performing arts and contribute to a thriving expressive arts department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging creativity, confidence, and collaboration among students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Drama lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student development
- Prepare students for practical assessments and school performances
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, including school productions and drama clubs
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Specialism in Drama or Performing Arts
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply through Veritas)
