Veritas Education is currently recruiting reliable and confident Cover Supervisors to work on a daily, flexible basis across secondary schools in Kirklees. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience, support local schools, and work around their own availability.
Whether you're a graduate considering a career in teaching, a teaching assistant ready to step up, or someone with experience in youth work or coaching, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task
- Deliver pre-set work and manage classroom behaviour effectively
- Maintain a positive and focused learning environment
- Report any issues or concerns to senior staff
- Support students in line with school policies and safeguarding procedures
Requirements:
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Confidence working with young people aged 11-16
- A flexible and proactive approach to work
- Previous experience in education or working with young people is desirable
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply through Veritas)
