Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire Contract: Flexible Supply / Short-Term / Long-Term Opportunities Salary: £90 - £110 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Are you a nurturing and patient Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? Would you like the flexibility of working across a variety of primary schools in the Wakefield area while making a real difference in young children's lives?
We're looking for Early Years SEN Teaching Assistants to join our education supply agency and provide high-quality support to pupils with additional learning needs in nursery and reception settings.

Your responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 or small-group support for children with SEN, including those with autism, speech and language difficulties, or social-emotional needs
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging Early Years environment
- Using positive behaviour management strategies to support learning and development
- Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to ensure consistent support
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN (school, nursery, or childcare setting)
- A calm, caring, and patient approach to working with young children
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, or Teaching Assistance (desirable)
