Veritas Education is looking for a nurturing and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join a lovely school nursery in Lancaster, working with children aged 9 months to 2 years. This is a fantastic part-time opportunity for someone passionate about early years development and looking to make a real difference in a supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the care, learning, and development of children aged 9 months to 2 years, following the EYFS framework.
- Assist with daily routines, play-based learning, and age-appropriate activities.
- Work closely with the nursery team to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
- Build strong, positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in Early Years (EYFS) is essential.
- Experience working with babies and toddlers is highly desirable.
- A warm, patient, and proactive approach.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
This role is ongoing and expected to continue until December 2025, with the potential for extension depending on school needs.
