Veritas Education is partnering with primary schools across West London to recruit dedicated and adaptable Graduate Primary Teaching Assistants. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, supporting students' learning, building their confidence, and making a meaningful impact on their educational journey. Roles are full-time, term-time only, and available to start as soon as possible.
As a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students in achieving their academic goals and reaching their full potential
- Encouraging students to engage proactively with their learning and develop independence
- Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for children to learn and thrive
- Assisting the class teacher with behaviour management, promoting positive behaviour, and supporting general learning and development
- Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring their individual learning needs are met and they feel included in the classroom
- Demonstrating good presentation and clear articulation skills to assist with communication and understanding
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting
- Hold a degree in a related field, e.g. childhood studies, education, or psychology
- Be patient, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Have strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and support students effectively
