Are you a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant with a flair for supporting young learners in Key Stage 1? Do you have a strong understanding of Phonics and experience using Makaton to support communication and learning? If so, we'd love to hear from you!

The Role
They are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their vibrant team. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support pupils' learning, with a particular focus on:
- Delivering high-quality Phonics interventions (ideally with experience in Letters and Sounds, Read Write Inc., or similar schemes)
- Supporting children with communication needs using Makaton
- Assisting in the planning and delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons
- Providing one-to-one and small group support
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience working in a KS1 classroom setting
- Makaton training and practical experience using it in an educational context
- Strong knowledge of Phonics teaching strategies
- A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
