English Teacher - Manchester (Long-Term Supply Role)
Start Date: After October Half Term Location: Manchester Contract Type: Full-time, Long-Term Supply Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established secondary school in Manchester for a qualified English Teacher (QTS) to begin a long-term supply role starting after the October half term.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and committed English teacher to join a school that places a strong emphasis on academic achievement, student wellbeing, and professional development. The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic English department that is well-resourced and highly supportive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality English lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, including GCSE preparation
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners
- Assessing and tracking student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback
- Contributing to the development of schemes of work and departmental planning
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and fostering a positive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
- A degree in English or a related subject
- Recent experience teaching English in a UK secondary school
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students
- A commitment to raising standards and supporting student achievement
This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and strong Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to gain valuable experience in a supportive and forward-thinking school.
