SEN Teaching Assistants Wanted- Blackburn
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We're currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a variety of mainstream and specialist schools across the region.
About the Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting students with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social/emotional challenges. You'll work closely with teaching staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support
- Assist with classroom activities and learning plans
- Help manage behaviour and promote positive social interactions
- Support pupils with personal care (where required)
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
Requirements:
- Relevant SEN experience in an educational or care setting
- A calm, patient and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ideally hold a relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Diploma, or equivalent)
