Job Title: Cover Supervisor - Secondary Schools (Greenwich Area) Location: Greenwich, London Job Type: Flexible (Daily Supply, Short-Term & Long-Term Roles Available) Salary: £90-£120 per day (depending on experience and assignment)
Are you looking to gain valuable classroom experience before embarking on a teaching career? We are currently seeking confident, reliable, and flexible Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in the Greenwich area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to develop their experience in education, including recent graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced support staff.
About the Role: As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lesson plans and ensuring that students remain on task in the absence of the regular class teacher. You do not need to have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), but strong classroom management skills and the ability to build rapport with students are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervising classes across Key Stages 3 and 4
Managing student behaviour in line with school policies
Ensuring the completion of set work
Providing feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
Requirements:
Previous experience working with young people (e.g. in schools, tutoring, youth work, mentoring) is desirable
Strong communication and organisational skills
Confident classroom presence and behaviour management
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)
Right to work in the UK
