Are you passionate about supporting young minds in a creative, hands-on learning environment? Veritas Education is seeking dedicated and reliable Design Technology Technicians to join our team and work on a temporary basis in secondary schools across Bradford
????️ About the Role:
As a DT Technician, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the Design & Technology department, helping to prepare materials, maintain equipment, and ensure a safe and productive environment for students and staff. This is an ideal role for someone with a background in practical subjects such as woodwork, metalwork, product design, or engineering.
Responsibilities:
Preparing and setting up materials and equipment for practical lessons
Maintaining tools, machinery, and equipment to ensure health and safety standards are met
Supporting teachers and students during practical lessons
Ordering and organising materials and stock
Assisting with project work, displays, and classroom resources
Requirements:
Previous experience in a workshop, school, or similar setting (preferred)
Practical knowledge of tools, machines, and materials used in DT (wood, metal, plastics)
A proactive and safety-conscious approach to work
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one through Veritas)
